We know that it is not always easy to find cushions adapted to custom van conversions because they are often too big, too thick or simply they are poor quality products.
Because of that, we decided to offer our cushions separately form our kits so you can adapt them to your own custom designs. We offer several sizes and configurations that should accommodate most set ups that require couch to bed conversions.
The cushions are rugged and are made from a 100% cotton, heavy gauge, 12 oz canvas type fabric. We are using premium 4'' (10cm) polyurethane foam pads that will provide a good nights sleep and they will last for a very long time without collapsing and deforming.
We are also using a charcoal gray fabric color as it is a not prone to staining and marking as they will be used in a camping environment. Unlike leatherette, this cotton material is not waterproof and will greatly improve sleeping comfort as it will dissipate body humidity through the mattress set. The cushion covers are machine washable and it is best to hang them to dry to preserve them. We also use big zippers to avoid jamming and to increase durability over the years you'll be using them
The foam pads density is between 2.0 and 2.1 lb per cubic foot which is perfect for a mattress use, you will get a good nights sleep over your trips and should not miss your home mattress at all. This foam material is made in America and the factory we are using also supply major couch manufacturers, this foam has proven quality for over decades now!
